The Lee County Library System cares about fostering a life-long love of reading in kids, starting from when they are born. Early literacy is vital to kids being ready to start kindergarten.  Here you'll find tips on how to get them ready to read, as well as fun stuff, like book recommendations, video fingerplays, coloring sheets and more.

Florida KidCareFlorida KidCare
Florida KidCare is the state’s children’s health insurance program for uninsured children under age 19.  It includes four different parts, or programs: MediKids, Healthy Kids, Children's Medical Services and Medicaid. When you apply for the insurance, Florida KidCare will check which program your child may be eligible for based on age and family income.
